Goals of the FLMBC Chapter of NMBP:

* To provide trail users with medical and/or mechanical assistance
* To patrol special local events such as races and festivals
* To help local advocacy efforts for shared use trails
* To teach and encourage the concept of stewardship, and help ensure the success   
of the pilot program for The Chemung River Trails.
* To put additional trained IMBA advocates on the trails, encouraging peer-to-peer
education on topics such as trail etiquette and responsible trail use
* To educate riders in skills and principles such as sustainable trail building
* To help manage high use trail systems, minimizing trail impact and maximizing fun

Additional Information:

* Patrollers log volunteer hours online.
* Patroller communications are carried out via Google Groups, which serves as a free
email distribution service.
