| Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day is an opportunity for children to explore the fun and benefits of mountain biking in a safe and nurturing environment. For approximately 2 1/2 hours the children will be taught biking skills and trail etiquette while cycling along the Chemung River Trails. Chaperones and trail guides will be with the children at all times and parents are invited to join in. Snacks and drinks are provided after the ride at Pirozzolo Park while we all talk about what we saw and learned. IMBA's International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day celebrates the life of Jack Doub, an avid teenage mountain biker from North Carolina who had a true passion for the sport from an early age but passed away in 2002. |
