We will be riding & hiking the trails along the Chemung River starting at the Grove
Street Boat Launch and cycling up to  Pirozzolo Park behind the West Elmira Town
Hall  This is not a race but a fun ride/walk where you will be learning informative
tidbits about the Chemung River.  Along the way you will meet Civil War Solders
talking about life at the Elmira Civil War Camp, Revolutionary War Solders and
Indians.  Meet people reminiscing about Roaricks Glen Park and Chemung River
history back in the 1800's.  Meet Tom Sawyer, Huck Finn, Becky Thatcher enjoying
the River as it was back in their days and enjoy Traveling Minstrels performing along
the trails.  Mark Twain will be on hand to talk about his humorous thoughts on riding
the bicycle taken from his unpublished story
"The Taming of the Bicycle".
